When the Laughing Buddha opened up the back room in 2009, the first thing that some local musicians thought was... we should have a Sunday Gospel Brunch here! After a couple seasons of Sunday Brunches, the gig has evolved to include old time Gospel music, Bluegrass classics and Blues and Jazz. The membership changes each week but most often includes Ryan Levecque, Billy John and Paul Loewenberg with vocal starring roles from Hilary Welch and Anne Boulton. Gather here at Jazzfest for the Gospel Brunch and feel like you are in a kitchen party, a backyard... a small cafe. You'll hear songs of strength and struggle... hardships and joys... work and play. The one true message is that music is universal.
